“Solo nutrendo la propria anima ogni essere umano troverà lo scopo della vita, la forza per crescere e migliorare così la società in cui vive. La musica trasforma e sublima l’animo umano”. Questo, in sintesi, il pensiero del grande musicista e politico venezuelano José Antonio Abreu.
“Ars Dei” è un’associazione non-profit nata nell’agosto del 2002 il cui scopo è quello di promuovere iniziative artistiche nella Svizzera Italiana, volte a favorire la formazione di studenti e l’attività di giovani artisti, indipendentemente dalla loro appartenenza culturale, politica o religiosa. Le attività – corsi, campi, mostre, festival e concorsi – sono dedicate soprattutto alla musica e alla danza.
I membri dell’associazione sono, per la maggior parte, musicisti, docenti e studenti.
Premessa.
Siamo consapevoli che oggigiorno, sempre più spesso, negli ambienti artistico-accademici predomina una sorta di razionalismo che porta all’affievolimento di quei valori necessari ad ogni artista per manifestare integralmente ciò che di più profondo vive nella mente, nel cuore e nei sensi. Gli studenti hanno sempre meno possibilità di condividere momenti di riflessione ed esperienze di vita fondamentali per la loro crescita artistica.
La musica è senza dubbio una grande risorsa per tutti e il progetto che stiamo per presentarvi è di vitale importanza per molti studenti e artisti delle nuove generazioni.
Principio animatore del progetto.
Crediamo che in questo mondo frenetico sia indispensabile dare a giovani talenti la possibilità di trascorrere settimane di studio in un ambiente adeguato, immerso nella natura, lontano dalle città e dai grandi centri turistici, in cui – insieme a docenti e artisti – possano ritrovare se stessi, il proprio entusiasmo, dialogare, creare proposte innovative e dare concerti in più periodi dell’anno.
Realizzazione del progetto.
Per concretizzare questo progetto è necessario poter disporre di un centro d’incontro stabile. Essendo le nostre attività prevalentemente legate alla musica è pure indispensabile avere a disposizione una casa dotata di aule-studio insonorizzate, di spazi adeguati e di pianoforti.
Purtroppo in Ticino non esistono infrastrutture concepite per ospitare iniziative di questo tipo. Le pochissime case per musicisti esistenti in Europa (es. il “Centre de Musique Hindemith” di Blonay-Vevey) sono sempre più richieste e solo raramente ci è data la possibilità di poterne usufruire, per pochi giorni e a prezzi molto elevati.
Perché non affittare altre strutture già esistenti?
L’alternativa di affittare altre strutture (ostelli, scuole montane ecc.) è stata scartata a causa di grandi problemi d’insonorizzazione e d’inadeguatezza delle sale, nonché per l’altissimo costo dell’affitto dei pianoforti e delle strutture stesse.
Una proposta ideale.
Lo scorso anno, a Sobrio (piccolo villaggio della Valle Leventina dove è nata la nostra associazione), ci è stato offerto un bellissimo terreno di circa 2500 metri quadrati (fuori dall’abitato) particolarmente adatto per la costruzione di un funzionale centro artistico.
Oltre agli scopi prefissi, la struttura favorirebbe anche un proficuo incremento artistico in Leventina e altre iniziative culturali (campi musicali per bambini, giovani e adulti, festival, seminari ecc.).
Sobrio.
Sobrio è un ridente villaggio situato a 1100 metri d’altitudine, facilmente raggiungibile da una comoda strada cantonale. È luogo di villeggiatura molto apprezzato, tranquillo e soleggiato, che offre molte passeggiate distensive e stupendi punti panoramici.
Essendo l’ultimo dei paesi adagiati sui terrazzi della “Traversa”, non vi è transito automobilistico. Secondo recenti misurazioni, a Sobrio si respira un’aria particolarmente pura e raffinata. Da molti è definito “Il più bel villaggio della Leventina”.
Struttura del Centro.
Il Centro, di cui pubblichiamo uno schizzo realizzato dall’architetto Giorgio Gendotti di Ambrì, prevede 20 posti-letto con servizi (camere per 2-4 persone), cucina e soggiorno, 4 aule-studio insonorizzate e una sala da concerto (costruzione in legno e muratura).
Il costo totale preventivato è di CHF. 1’400'000.—.
Coordinamento del Centro.
Per garantire un ottimo coordinamento del Centro, lo statuto dell’associazione prevede che nel Comitato Direttivo dovranno sempre essere inclusi docenti e artisti ai quali sarà affidato lo specifico compito di mantenere e intensificare contatti con conservatori, scuole di musica e altri istituti artistici, in Svizzera e all’estero.
Finanziamento.
Sino ad oggi l’associazione non ha mai raccolto fondi e i pochi mezzi finanziari a disposizione sono sempre stati interamente devoluti per l’organizzazione delle varie attività giovanili.
Per l’attuazione di quest’opera dobbiamo quindi trovare degli amici disposti a darci una mano. Attualmente abbiamo a disposizione il terreno e un fondo-base di 140'000 Franchi.

“Einzig indem er die eigene Seele nährt, kann der Mensch den Sinn des Lebens finden, wird er die Kraft haben zu wachsen und wird er sich entwickeln können, damit er die Gesellschft in der er lebt verbessern kann. Die Musik verändert und erhebt die Menschenseele.” Dies sind zusammengefasst, die Gedanken des grossen venezolanischen Musikers und Politikers José Antonio Abreu.
“Ars Dei” ist eine im August 2002 gegründete non-profit Gesellschaft. Wir fördern künstlerische Initiativen und Aktivitäten in der italienischen Schweiz, mit besonderem Augenmerk auf die Ausbildung von Studierenden und auf die Unterstützung junger Künstler, unabhängig derer Herkunft, politischer Gesinnung und religiöser Ausrichtung. Unser Fokus richtet sich insbesondere auf die Kunstrichtungen Musik und Tanz. Wir organisieren Kurse, Konzerte, Musiklager, Musikwettbewerbe und Ausstellungen.
Die Mehrheit der Vereinsmitglieder sind Musiker, Dozenten und Studierende.
Einleitung
Wir sind uns bewusst, dass im künstlerisch akademischen Bereich heutzutage immer öfter eine Art Rationalismus vorherrscht, der eine Schwächung von Werten mit sich bringt, die unseres Erachtens für Künstler ausserordentlich wichtig wären. Werte, die es dem Künstler erst erlauben, das in seinem Herzen und Bewusstsein lebende zum Ausdruck zu bringen. Die Studierenden haben immer weniger Möglichkeiten gemeinsame Momente des Reflektierens zu erleben und wesentliche Lebenserfahrungen für ihr künstlerisches Wachstum zu machen. Musik ist ohne Zweifel eine wertvolle Quelle für alle und das Projekt welches wir Ihnen hier vorstellen, wird von vitaler Bedeutsamkeit für viele Studenten und Künstler der neuen Generation sein.
Der Ursprung des Projekts
Wir denken, dass es in unserer hektischen Welt von grosser Wichtigkeit ist, dass jungen Talenten die Möglichkeit gegeben wird, Studienwochen in einer ruhigen, angepassten Umgebung zu verbringen, wo sie inmitten von schönster Natur und weit ab aller touristischen Zentren konzentriert arbeiten können. Wo sie aber auch mit anderen Studierenden, Dozenten und Künstlern austauschend sich selbst und den eigenen Enthusiasmus finden können. Hier können innovative Projekte entstehen, Konzerte können vorbereitet und das ganze Jahr über auch abgehalten werden.
Verwirklichung des Projekts
Um dieses Projekt zu verwirklichen braucht es ein festes Begegnungszentrum. Da unsere Aktivität insbesondere in der Musik liegt, ist es unerlässlich über ein passendes Haus zu verfügen, mit mehreren geeigneten, schallisolierten Übungszimmern mit guten Klavieren. Im Kanton Tessin gibt es leider keine Infrastruktur welche derartige Projekte erlauben würde. Die wenigen existierenden Musiker-Häuser (z.B. das „Centre de Musique Hindemith“ in Blonay-Vevey) sind sehr gefragt und sehr oft ausgebucht, so dass wir nur selten die Möglichkeit haben, davon zu profitieren und das zu einem überhöhten Preis.
Warum wir uns nicht zB. in eine Herberge einmieten können
Von der Einmietung in ein bestehendes Haus (Herberge oder Ferienheim) als Alternative mussten wir leider absehen, da in der Regel passende schallisolierte Räume fehlen und das temporäre Zumieten von Material und Klavieren sehr hohe Kosten mit sich bringt.
Eine ideale Lösung
Letztes Jahr wurde uns in Sobrio, einem kleinen Dorf hoch über der Valle Leventina (wo unsere Gesellschaft 2002 gegründet wurde) ein wunderschönes, zirka 2500m2 grosses Terrain angeboten, welches sich ausgesprochen gut für den Bau eines funktionierenden künstlerischen Zentrums eignen würde. Neben den erwähnten Zielen würde der Bau auch einen Gewinn für die Region der Valle Leventina bedeuten, da das kulturelle Angebot in dieser Gegend durch Musikkurse und Seminare für Kinder und Erwachsene, Konzerte und Festivals etc. bereichert werden könnte.
Das Dorf Sobrio
Sobrio ist ein liebliches Dorf auf 1100 M.ü.M., bequem erreichbar auf einer Kantonsstrasse. Es bietet Ruhe und Sommerfrische, sowie zahlreiche entspannende Spaziermöglichkeiten und ein wunderbares Panorama. Als letztes Dorf der bekannten „Strada Alta“ ist es auf Terrassen gebettet und hat keinen Durchgangsverkehr. Bei kürzlich gemachten Erhebungen wurde Sobrio besonders reine und gesunde Luft attestiert. Viele nennen es “das schönste Dorf der Leventina”.
Der Aufbau des Zentrums
Wir legen diesem Schreiben eine Skizze bei, welche der Architekt Giorgio Gendotti aus Ambrì für unser geplantes Zentrum erstellt hat. Es sieht 20 Schlafplätzte mit WC/Bad vor, in Zimmern für 2-4 Personen, Küche und Aufenthaltsraum, 4 schallisolierte Übungszimmer und einen Konzertsaal. Die Konstruktion ist aus Holz und Mauerwerk vorgesehen. Der Kostenvoranschlag beläuft sich auf sFr. 1’400'000.—.
Koordination des Zentrums
Um optimale Abläufe zu garantieren, sehen die Statuten unserer Gesellschaft vor, dass immer auch Dozenten und Künstler im Vorstand vertreten sein müssen. Ihnen wird unter anderem die Aufgabe anvertraut, stets gute Kontakte zu Konservatorien, Musikschulen und anderen Kunst-Instituten im In- und Ausland zu pflegen.
Finanzierung
Bis heute musste unsere Gesellschaft nie Geld sammeln und die wenigen zur Verfügung stehenden Mittel wurden immer vollumfänglich in der Organisation reinvestiert für unsere Jugendprojekte.
Für die Verwirklichung dieses Projekts hingegen sind wir nun darauf angewiesen Freunde zu finden, welche uns finanziell unterstützen können. Derzeit verfügen wir über das Grundstück sowie ein Grundkapital von 140'000 sFr.

“Only by nourishing his own soul can every human being find the purpose of life, the strength to grow and thus improve the society he lives in. Music transforms and sublimates human soul”. This, in brief, is the thought of the great Venezuelan musician and politician José Antonio Abreu.
“Ars Dei” is a non-profit association which was born in August 2002. It aims at promoting arts initiatives in Switzerland (Ticino) in order to foster the training of students and the activity of young artists, whatever their cultural, political or religious background. Activities - courses, camps, exhibitions and competitions – are mainly devoted to music and dancing.
Members of the association are mostly musicians, teachers and students.
Introduction
We are aware that nowadays a sort of rationalism increasingly prevails within the artistic and academic environments, which tends to weaken those values each artist needs to fully express what he lives in his innermost heart, mind and senses. Students have fewer and fewer opportunities to share moments of reflection and life experiences which are vital for their own artistic growth.
Music is undoubtedly a great resource for everyone and the project we are going to present you is of vital importance for many students and new generation artists.
Animating principle of the project
We believe that in this hectic world it is vital to offer young talents the opportunity to spend weeks of study in an adequate place, immersed in nature, away from cities and big tourist centres, in which they, along with teachers and artists, can redescover themselves, communicate, come up with innovative ideas and give concerts in several periods of the year.
Realizing the project
To realize this project, it is necessary to have a permanent meeting centre. Since our activities are predominantly related to music, it is also indispensable to have a house endowed with soundproof study halls, adequate spaces and pianos.
Unfortunately, there is no infrastructure in Ticino designed to host such initiatives. The very few musicians’ homes in Europe (e.g. the “Centre de Musique Hindemith” in Blonay-Vevey) are increasingly sought-after and only rarely were we given the possibility to use them – for a few days and at very high prices.
Why not renting the other available facilities?
The alternative solution of renting other facilities (hostels, mountain schools, etc.) was ruled out because of big soundproofing problems, unsuitable halls and the very high cost to rent pianos and the facilities themselves.
An ideal proposal
Last year in Sobrio (a little village in the Leventina Valley where our association was born), we were offered a beautiful plot of land of approx. 2500 square meters (outside the built-up area), particularly fit for the building of a functional arts centre.
In addition to the aims pursued, this structure would favour a useful artistic development in Leventina and other cultural initiatives (music camps for young and adults, festivals, workshops, etc.).
Sobrio
Sobrio is a delightful little village situated at an altitude of 1100 metres and is easily reached through a comfortable cantonal road. It is a highly esteemed, quiet, sunny holiday resort which offers many relaxing walks and wonderful panoramic spots.
Since it is the last of the villages lying on the terraces of the “Traversa”, there is no transit of cars in it. According to recent surveys, a particularly pure, refined air is breathed in Sobrio. Many deem it “the most beautiful village in the Leventina Valley”.
Structure of Centre
The Centre – a preliminary draft of which, made free of charge by architect Giorgio Gendotti of Ambrì, is enclosed – will consist of 20 sleeping accommodations with toilets (rooms for 2-4 people), a kitchen and a living room, 4 soundproof study halls and a concert hall (built with wood and masonry). The estimated total cost is 1’400’000 Swiss francs.
Coordination of Centre
To assure a proper coordination of the Centre, the association’s bylaws provide that the Governing Committee must always include teachers and artists who will be specifically entrusted to keep and increase contacts with conservatories, music schools and other art institutes in Switzerland and abroad.
Funding
So far the association has never raised funds and the few financial means available have always been entirely destined for the organization of various youth activities.
In order to implement this work, therefore, we need to find friends willing to help out. Currently we have the land and a basic fund of 140’000 Swiss francs available.
